The adventure takes you from Soweto to the north Kruger for a Safari of a lifetime; down to the Mother City, Cape Town – and then – 3 nights on the MSC Musica for the very first exclusive LGBTQ+ Cruise in Africa!
The next 13 days are an immersion into the diversity of South African culture, wildlife and beauty, ending off with the first-ever exclusive LGBTQ+ Cruise in Africa, on the MSC Musica.
From Urban Jozi & the home of Madiba, to the African Sun and the Big 5 and the spectacular Mother City, you will get the best experience of South Africa ever.
The tour is exclusive to an LGBTQ+ group, accompanied by a gay South African Tour Leader.
Arrive in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Your tour leader will meet you at the airport and take you on a 15 minute Gautrain ride to the heart of Sandton, where you will check in to your hotel.
A welcome dinner with the group at a nearby Sandton restaurant – giving you a taste of true South African flavours.
After breakfast, you will depart for Soweto where you will get the sights and sounds of the vibrant Soweto on a BICYCLE! A once-in-a-lifetime experience.
After seeing many different corners of Soweto, including a visit to Nelson Mandela’s house, a traditional Soweto-styled Chesa Nyama lunch awaits (Chesa Nyama is similar to a BBQ).
After returning to Sandton, the rest of the day is yours to explore & shop in Africa’s Golden Mile.
You will head to the airport after check out in time to board your flight to Hoedspruit – in the northern part of the Kruger National Park. The flight is only an hour and a 30 minute drive to the Safari Lodge.
A delicious lunch, followed by sunset game drive & Boma dinner is lined up for you.
Start the day in true safari style with an early morning game drive. The experienced game rangers at the lodge will do their best to ensure that you see the Big 5!
The rest of the day is yours to relax and do as you please before your evening game drive and amazing dinner.
Before you leave the safari, there will be time for one last game drive, and then a leisurely transfer to the airport, in time for your flight to Cape Town.
You will arrive in Cape Town in the late afternoon and be welcomed by your local tour leader.
The night is yours to explore the LGBTQ+ nightlife in Cape Town. We will gladly help with ideas and suggestions of what to do.
It is rumoured that today will be Cape Town Pride, so we are leaving today open so that you can attend the Pride March and parties.
if not, we will make suggestions for you to have a brilliant day in the Mother City. Perhaps a visit to the aquarium and Robben Island, or a cruise in the harbour. A day trip to Hermanus is always fun too… so many possibities.
A Sunday is the perfect day to explore the Cape Peninsula.
The full day trip will take you along the magnifenct coast line through Hout Bay and over Chapman’s Peak to The Cape Point.
After some time at Cape Point, you will head to Boulder’s Beach to visit the famous penguin colony and then head back to Cape Town while enjoying a packed lunch on the drive. The enture trip will take place in a traditional ‘kombi’ – otherwise known as a mini-bus.
A visit to Cape Town wouldn’t be complete without a trip up Table Mountain!
There is a cable car to use, or if you are brave, you can hike up (we highly recommend the hike). It is a wonderful experience!
The afternoon will be yours to explore Cape Town as you please. Perhaps a Helicopter flip over the Peninsula? A spectacular experience!
Tonight there will be a group dinner at one of Cape Town’s most famous sea food restaurants in Camps Bay.
It is fitting to spend the last day in Cape Town living it up like a local! Our wonderful tour, Eat Like A Local, takes you on foot to the colourfuil suburb of Bokaap, with stops along the way tasting delicious Cape Malay recipes (and a couple of drinks too). The tour ends around lunchtime, giving you the afternoon free to explore or shop.
Tonight. as a farewell to Cape Town, a dinner will take place at one of Cape Town’s top restaurants: Kloof Street House.
After a leisurely start to the morning, you will check out and head to Franschhoek – a quaint little town in the heart of the winelands. Franschhoek is a haven for upmarket LGBTQ+ members.
Your tour leader will stop along the way at divine farm stalls and wine farms.
You will need the entire afternoon and evening to explore this town… art, decor, food – its exquisite!
Today is dedicated to wine!

You will fly to Durban from Cape Town, and transfer to Durban Harbour to embark the MSC Musica.
