Out & About in the Winelands
Full-Day LGBTQ+ Wine Experience
đ Stellenbosch & Franschhoek | Approx. 09:00 â 17:00
Sip, swirl, and slay your way through South Africaâs most fabulous vineyards.
Get ready for a day of indulgence, elegance, and unapologetic queerness in the Cape Winelands. Out & About in the Winelands is Afrigay Travelâs signature LGBTQ+ day tour, hosted by one of our charismatic queer guides whoâll lead you through a curated selection of high-end, boutique wine estates in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek - with a side of sass and a whole lot of sparkle.
Expect velvet-smooth reds, crisp whites, jaw-dropping views, and Insta-worthy vineyard settings. Think private tastings, vineyard strolls, and conversations that flow as easily as the wine. Whether youâre a seasoned sommelier or a rosĂ©-all-day kind of traveller, this experience is as much about the vibe as it is about the vintage.
Fabulously inclusive, fiercely fun, and dripping in luxury - this is the Winelands, but make it queer.

Lunch at one of the Winefarms
Weâll settle in for a long, lazy lunch at one of the Winefarmâs restaurants. Think seasonal produce, fine wine pairings, and views to die for â all enjoyed in fabulous company.
15:00
Boutique Estate #3: Final Toasts & Sweet Sips
Our final vineyard visit features a more playful tasting: sparkling wines, dessert wines, or your guideâs personal favourites. As the sun begins to dip, we toast to new friendships, unforgettable flavours, and the joy of being out, proud, and pampered.

Return to Cape Town
After a day of indulgence and connection, we head back to Cape Town â hearts full, glasses empty, and maybe just a little bit tipsy.

Solo travellers are very welcome. You can:
- Room solo (single supplement applies), or
- Opt to shareâweâll try to pair you with a traveller of a similar profile to help you avoid the supplement. If we canât match you, weâll offer the best single rate available.
Inclusions vary by itinerary and are shown on the âWhatâs includedâ tab. We always try to include a Welcome Dinner and a Farewell Dinner in the package so the group can connect at the start and celebrate at the end. Not all meals are includedâwe build in free time so you can explore the local food scene at your own pace. We happily cater for vegan/vegetarian, gluten-free, and other dietary needsâjust let us know in advance. Only the activities listed as Included on your trip page are part of your package. Anything else is optional and not included.
If youâd like extras, we can arrange them at additional costâeither before you travel or on tourâsubject to availability, season, weather and (sometimes) minimum numbers. Prices are set by third-party operators and may change until paid.
Payment & policy: Optional add-ons are usually paid direct to the supplier (card/cash). If we pre-book on your behalf, charges will appear on your invoice. Cancellation/changes follow the supplierâs terms.
Safety & suitability: Some activities carry age/weight/fitness limits or require waivers. Your travel insurance must cover any optional activity you choose.
Your tour leader will advise what fits the schedule so add-ons donât disrupt the group experience.
